When my tree was delivered on a Friday by a company in North London, it was much larger than ordered, in a 600 litre... pot instead of 300 litre. It transpired they could plant it but not for 4-6 weeks. Thank goodness for GraftinGardeners. I called them on Monday following and they gave me a reasonable quote on Tuesday and had it planted aided by a large hydraulic crane on Wednesday. It was done so expertly and neatly that it looked like it had been there for years. I can't thank their polite and careful team enough for the professional way they handled the job from start to finish. Brilliant!read more

Just had three guys from Graftin Gardeners come round (Harry, Jake and another). They came and went within 1 hour. In... this time they cut our Bay Tree down by two metres, trimmed the sides, removed three tree stumps and cleaned the kitchen floor of any dirt (as we don't have side access). Very impressed with their level of service and seemed very pleasant young men. P.S This is not the first time I have used this company. Big recommend.read more

Without doubt THE BEST tree surgeon / gardening company you’ll find. I called them out to deal with a lot of Ivy which... had spread all over the garden and then up a 3 story house. They got rid of everything. Killed it at the root, and removed from all the brickwork. They were super quick and efficient, friendly, knowledgeable and honestly just the whole process has been exceptional. I found the office staff very helpful, quoted quickly and flexible over a tricky tree I didn't know if they could... proceed with, in case it brought an old wall down. I was recommended GG by a neighbour who had a lot of work done on his land I had very large Eucalyptus that had... fallen across 2 gardens with very difficult access only through the rear over some garages. They cleared it all up in a morning, no problem Left no mess and I highly recommend them. Top rates as well !!!read more

Poor experience booking Graftin Gardeners. After spending time with quoting (the team member that quotes is outstanding... and a credit to the company - but he is the only exceptional thing about Graftin Gardeners), I understood I had to wait 6 weeks before booking the works as we live in a conservation area. I followed up after a few weeks to see how the application was going but was told that an application hadn’t been submitted. The lady on the phone approached the company co-owner Adam, who said an application wasn’t needed for the quoted works. Although a little frustrated that I hadn’t been told this, the works were booked. However, on the day the team arrived late without any communication and were packed and ready to go home by lunch time. On querying why, I was told they couldn’t complete the works as they had forgotten to bring a stump grinder. I was told this at 1pm when they were packed and ready to go, not when they arrived that morning. They asked me not to call the office but I called anyway and spoke to the co-owner who finally agreed to send a nearby team member with a grinder. I couldn’t be present on the day due to my mums health but I was assured all was completed. Shortly after I received contact from neighbours because huge branches were falling from the trees. One was seen hanging above someone’s head and had to be knocked from the tree using a broom. Some branches were as much a 6ft in length and very heavy. As this was a huge safety issue I instantly called the company and spoke with the co-owner Adam again. We agreed a date for a team to come and check the trees and remove the fallen branches. I had also then noticed that most of the stumps had also not been removed but had been covered in soil, so Adam agreed to rectify this as I had already paid. I made sure I was present on the day but after a wait the team had not arrived. I called Adam again, he was not apologetic and said it would be easier if they could come another day. I had left my mum on her own and needed to get a train back to her but accommodated Adam as he said they could come the next day. He rushed me off the phone and said he would call me back. I waited 3 hrs and he didn’t call. So I called and was spoken to very rudely by a lady on the phone. Feeling angered by this point I spoke to Adam who was now also rude & then turned nasty when I mentioned I had asked advice from his professional membership body. He refused to rectify the works and then said he would collect the branches only. He repeated over that they would come between 8am and 9am the next morning. I waited the next morning and there was no sign of the team. So I called Adam and he told me he had cancelled the work and had no intention of coming. I waited another day, leaving my mum alone and Adam didn’t have the respect to let me know he cancelled again! I told him I had paid for works that had not been completed. He said he would issue a refund the next day. I waited but did not receive a refund. Adam is now ignoring my communication and has intentionally left me to deal with their mess, plus the task of paying again for someone to correct and complete the works.read more

The guys at GraftinGardeners came to our property to remove some ivy that had grown up the side of our house and... partially over the roof over the course of a few years. These guys managed to damage my car while carrying out works on my estate. Even with witnesses they are still denying... it. Clearly not an honest group of workers and would not recommend anyone using them if they don’t want a £800 bill for damage they’ve caused to a car.read more

In the past I have had great experiences with this company but I would not recommend them now. They quoted me £375 plus... VAT for a garden clean up. Last year same price great job - garden looked lovely. This year on the first appointed day they did not show up and did on phone me to say they weren't coming. On the second appointed day a gardener came round and roughly strimmed my garden for 2.5 hours - an hourly rate of £150 plus VAT. They didn't take away the debris because a van was out of service so I'm trapped at home for a third day too. I'm perfectly happy to pay for a rough and ready tidy up if that's all they have time for, but when I complained they took £100 off the bill (reducing their hourly rate to £110 an hour) and didn't engage with me at all on fixing things. All in all this was an extremely unpleasant experience.read more

We were really impressed with Graftin Gardeners. They were friendly, professional and efficient. They were the only... tree surgeons we contacted who actually came by to assess our front garden and provide an accurate quote. They took the time to explain areas of concern which was really useful. Just brilliant. They really know their stuff and gave me some great hints and tips (also dispelling some myths). I felt... that my beautiful mimosa was in safe hands whilst they took into account my neighbours needs and also my needs to keep my garden manageable. Proper eco warriors - which is exactly what you need when dealing with tree care and maintenance and reasonably priced too. Some of my neighbours trees and mine in the past have been butchered by ‘handymen’. Now I see why having experienced and caring tree surgeons are the way to go. Thanks guy!read more

Got a quote 1 year ago to take out 3 trees but never went ahead with works. Very happy when the quote was the same 1... year later when I decided to go ahead. Got booked in very quickly. Great professional team. They came to reduce a pear tree in the garden and did a very good job. They knew what to cut... or not cut for the tree to recover from the trauma of the reduction. They had to move some pots in precaution and put back everything in place, and the cleaning has been really good. It has been almost has if they never came. I would really recommend this company as very professional and efficient at what they do.read more

Had my drone stuck on a tree at AONB park ( in the middle of nowhere, or box hill to be exact) at ~35 m height above... the river. Tried to retrieve it for hours with significant risk to be injured and no luck. Call for firefighters ( even they told me they are going to charge me) - they could not do it. Then I found GraftinGardens website and called them... At 20:30... On Saturday!! The guy came in no time, climbed the tree and retrieved my drone. It was the coolest man act I’ve ever seen.
