Green Waste Recycling In Surrey For Tree Surgeons And Trade
Our Leatherhead depot now accepts green waste from tree surgeons, arborists, landscapers, gardeners, grounds maintenance contractors and other trade and commercial customers. Tip clean wood chip or logs for a flat £20 per load, minutes from the M25, and know that every load is recycled into biomass, firewood and timber rather than landfilled.
With Mid Surrey Farm currently closed, a lot of local firms have been left without a nearby place to tip. We are tree surgeons ourselves, we know exactly how much dead time a long tip run costs a crew, and we have the yard, the machinery and the outlets to take that problem off your hands.
Trade green waste tipping in Leatherhead, Surrey, £20 per load. Call 0208 123 7653 to book your first tip. Open Monday to Saturday, 6:30am to 6:30pm. Trade and commercial customers only.

Who Can Tip Green Waste With Us?
This is a trade facility, not a public tip. We accept green waste from:
- Tree surgeons, arborists and tree contractors, from one-van outfits to multi-crew firms
- Landscapers, gardeners and garden maintenance companies
- Grounds maintenance contractors, including schools, estates and facilities firms
- Commercial and trade businesses with regular green waste to dispose of
We do not accept waste from the general public. If you are a homeowner with garden waste, your local council recycling centre is the right place.
Pricing: £20 Per Load
One flat fee, no weighing, no surprises. £20 per load covers the tipping of clean wood chip or logs, and every load also includes one standard one-tonne builders bag (a dumpy bag, roughly 85cm x 85cm x 85cm) of unprocessed green waste such as hedge trimmings, brash, prunings, leaves or sawdust.
Tipping more than one bag of unprocessed green waste or brash is priced separately, based on volume and type, and must be agreed with the team beforehand. BE SURE TO CALL 0208 123 7653 to discuss it BEFORE you set off, because loose green waste or brash exceeding one bag will not be accepted at the gate without prior agreement.
Pay in cash on the day, or call 0208 123 7653 to set up a trade account if you plan to tip regularly.
What We Accept
- Clean wood chip, by the load
- Logs, cordwood and timber, by the load, including large butts
- Unprocessed green waste, one one-tonne bag per load included, for hedge trimmings, brash, prunings, leaves and sawdust. Larger quantities only by prior arrangement, priced on volume and type
What We Do Not Accept
No stumps or root plates, stones, concrete, metal, rubbish, soil, turf or rubble, treated or painted timber, pallets, general waste, or any load contaminated with plastics, metal, litter or any other contaminant.
Please read this part carefully. Contaminated loads cause real damage to our chippers and spoil the biomass and firewood we produce from your waste. Anyone caught tipping any form of contaminant other than green waste will be permanently banned from tipping with us, with no exceptions. Keep it clean and everyone benefits.

How It Works
- Call ahead on 0208 123 7653 to book your first tip, and to agree a price if you are bringing more than one bag of loose green waste or brash.
- Drive in to our Leatherhead depot at The Avenue, Leatherhead KT22 0DN, just off the A243 Kingston Road at Malden Rushett, near The Star pub. Easy access for tippers, trailers and HGVs, with room to turn.
- Tip and go. Unload your chip or logs into the right bay, drop your bag of green waste, pay your £20, and you are back on the road in minutes.
- Paperwork if you need it. Waste transfer notes are available on request for customers who want them for their records.

Where Your Green Waste Goes
Nothing that comes through the gate goes to landfill. Chip is dried into BSL-authorised G30 biomass wood chip that heats homes and businesses across London and Surrey. Logs and cordwood are processed into seasoned firewood. Larger, better timber is set aside for milling into slabs and boards rather than being cut up for fuel, and the green waste is chipped down and used too.
Every load tipped at our Surrey green waste recycling centre helps displace fossil fuel or imported timber elsewhere, which is why this service sits squarely inside our environmental statement, and why we can tell your own customers, if they ask, exactly where their tree ended up.

Why Tip With GraftinGardeners?
We run our own crews out of this yard and tip our own arisings here every day, so the site is set up by people who know what its like having to deal with a full load of chip at the end of a hard days graft. It is minutes from the M25 at junction 9, an easy run from Epsom, Kingston, Sutton, Guildford, Dorking and south west London, and a flat £20 means you know the cost before you leave the job.
We also sharpen chipper blades at the same depot. Drop a dull set when you tip and collect them sharp on a later visit, or ask about same day sharpening, which we can sometimes do depending on the day's workload.
We are a family-run company with over 1,000 genuine five-star reviews, insured to £10m, and a registered supplier on the Biomass Suppliers List. The green waste service runs to the same standards, and honestly, we would like to meet more of the local firms doing good work around Surrey.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the green waste tip open to the public?
No. Our Leatherhead depot is a trade facility for tree surgeons, arborists, landscapers, grounds maintenance contractors and commercial customers. Householders with garden waste should use their local council recycling centre.
How much does it cost to tip green waste?
A flat £20 per load of clean wood chip or logs. Each load also includes one standard one-tonne builders bag of unprocessed green waste such as hedge trimmings, brash, prunings, leaves or sawdust. There is no weighbridge and no weight-based pricing.
What green waste can I tip?
Clean wood chip and logs by the load, plus one bag of unprocessed green waste per load. We do not accept stumps, root plates, stones, concrete, metal, rubbish, soil, turf, rubble, treated or painted timber, pallets or general waste, and any contaminated load will get you permanently banned.
Do I need to book before I tip?
Call 0208 123 7653 before your first visit so we can get you set up. After that, drive in any time Monday to Saturday between 6:30am and 6:30pm. If you are bringing more than one bag of loose green waste or brash, you must agree it with us before you arrive.
Can I tip a full load of loose brash or green waste?
Only by prior arrangement. One one-tonne bag of unprocessed green waste is included with every £20 load of chip or logs. Anything beyond that is priced on volume and type and must be agreed with the team before you turn up, otherwise it will not be accepted.
Do you provide waste transfer notes?
Waste transfer notes are available on request for customers who want them for their duty of care records. Just ask when you tip.
What happens to the green waste?
It is recycled on site. Chip is dried into biomass wood chip, logs become seasoned firewood, the best timber is milled into slabs and boards, and the green waste is chipped down. Nothing goes to landfill.
