- We grind them wet. Each blade is clamped on the bed of our professional sharpening machine and the grinding wheel passes the full length of the edge under a constant flow of coolant. Keeping the steel cool is what stops the edge losing its hardness, and it is the difference between a proper regrind and a blade blued on an angle grinder.
- Pick them up, often the same day. If the machine is free when you arrive, we can sometimes sharpen while you wait. Call first and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

Why Proper Regrinding Matters
There is a big difference between a blade touched up with an angle grinder and a blade properly reground. Chipper blades are designed with a specific bevel, typically between 30 and 45 degrees depending on the machine, and freehand grinding changes that geometry a little more every time.
